Hi Darin,
I think it is not clear from your report whether you have nerve compression or not.
But as I have told you, you do have symptoms suggesting nerve compression.
Either it can be nerve compression or nerve entrapment or nerve irritation.
What all doctors you have seen till now?
If you have not seen orthopaedician, please see one.
You can also take help of another neurologist.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.

IMPT: 12 years ago I had 2 AVMS removed one on the top of my head and one in the lower back of my head...ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HEAD. The AVMS were in the brain and skull was not replaced in the area of the surgery.
2 months ago I began having fullness in one ear.
1 month ago I began getting some pain in the ear.
I went to an ENT who said that my ears are fine, but gave me Naproxen. However, one hour after taking the drug I had a severe headache that lasted 4 hours. Therefore, I discontinued the drug.
1 week ago, I was awakened with pain in my right arm and under my chin.
Last week, I had short term pain in my right leg and right arm.
My right arm and leg aches on and off with a feeling of weakness. The pain in the leg is usually with exercise and walking.
Currently, the ear and right head has a burning pain occasionally.
UPDATE: I have had an MRI of the head and cervical spine without contrast. The only problem noted was degenerative disc disease, which I am told is common and not a disease.
Also, the neurologist said I have neuralgia symptoms but no neurological issues.
I am now confused and do not have a direction.
Thank you for the response: I now have the report:
C4-5 shows spondylosis with a probable osteophyte/disc comlex, slightly more prominent toward the right, but this is not producing central canal compromise. The neural canals appear to be widely patent.
C5-6 shows mild broad-based spondylosis. This does show probably a little narrowing of the left neural foramen, but the right is patent. There is no central canal compromise.
C6-7 shows mild broad-based spondylosis with no compromise of the central canal or the neural canals.
So, I have no explaination of my right side symptoms. What type of dr. should i go to now?
Hi Darin,
How are you feeling?
As I was going through your post I felt that you are having some kind of neuropathy.
Pain, tingling and numbness are signs of neuropathy.
This neuropathy can be due to nerve irritation due to trauma or injury and nerve compression or nerve entrapment due to some spinal disc pathology.
As I went ahead with your post I saw an MRI report which suggests that you have cervical degenerative disc disease.
What is complete report? Have they mentioned about any nerve compression?
Have they mentioned anything about cervical disc herniation o your MRI report?
Cervical disc herniation is a condition in which retropulsion of disc material occurs, with resulting compression of the neural elements (nerve root[s] and/or spinal cord), resulting in neck pain, radiculopathy, and/or myelopathy.
Keep me informed.
Bye.
