Front of thighs pain and calves after microdiscectomy!

I'm going on 5 weeks out post op microdiscectomy for l5s1 and have horrible pain in my hips, fronts of thighs and calves now!
I wonder if anyone else has been through these symptoms?
It worries me about permanent nerve damage because I cannot find ANYWHERE where someone has had these 'side effects ' from a microdiscectomy!
Sure would appreciate some answers if anybody has one!
(I insisted on an MRI with my concerns and they claim all is normal)
I'm not sure I trust this report,I'm being told elsewhere that radiologists will omit something in their reports if it is an obvious injury from medical neglect /malpractice!
Thanks ahead of time for an input!
