Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. Your MRI spine tells that you have bony and intervetebral disc related degenerative changes at L4-L5 level. There is foraminal and right lateral stenosis which could be causing spinal cord and nerve root compression. What are your clinical symptoms and signs? Facet joint arthropathy is the degenerative changes at the joints formed by adjoining vertebrae posteriorly at multiple levels. The causes are disc problems, any previous injury etc. you need to consult a neurologist if you have symptoms of backache, radiation to legs or not which depends on the degree of spinal stenosis. You will need painkillers, sleep positions avoiding pressure on facet joints, steroids, traction and strengthening exercises. Depending on the symptoms and response to conservative therapy, you might need facet joint injections of anesthetics or steroids. Wishing you all the best.
