Due to VTOS I had 1 st right rib resection surgery. The surgeon took out the 2 nd rib instead of the first. 6 months later I had 1 st right rib resection revision surgery along with scalenectomy and pec minor release. 6 months after that surgery I began to notice my right hand was weaker, I could not spread my fingers or bend my back toward topside of wrist. I cannot straighten my fingers either. I have had EMG testing which showed compression along the Ulnar, Medial and radial nerve plus slight neuropathy in all limbs. So because of that I have been sent to have MRI of face, head, neck, brachial plexus, cervical spine and brain plus a huge list of lab work. Basically everything came back normal except some slight disc bulges in C 3-6 but nothing alarming. Do you think it is safe to say I simply have double crush syndrome with nerve compression in my right elbow and wrist at this point? I do appreciate the orthopedic surgeon being so very thorough but now I say we have come to the end of all the testing and let's do what is needed to getting my right hand to work again. It just gets weaker and weaker every week despite PT every day. What do you think?
