Lump on back of head, headaches, stiff neck and swollen throat only other things

Hi,

about a week ago I started having headaches and a stiff neck. I took some panadol and everything was ok. 4 days later the stiff neck and mild headaches were still there, as well as a lump on the back of my head on the left side about 6 cm from my ear and 4 cm from my hairline. This lump does not hurt when no touched or not touched. When I feel i(put pressure on it and move my fingers around), it feels like a pea or something. The other symptoms are a swollen throat, the tonsils are not swollen though, it seems deeper. This is only 2 days old now...

My mother says she has the same thing every now and then, she said its like a cold. Which I can relate to with the swollen throat and such.

I have no other symptoms, no visual problems, balance problems, or anything like that. No tingling in my arms or legs.

I am just worried, cause it is on my scalp.. which is scary..

Has anyone had something like this? or knows of anything like this?

Cheers,

Christel

Hi,
Yes I  have Lymes disease now, and I have SO many swollen glands on my neck and it feels lke my whole neck is stiff and sore. It feels as if I can't breathe fully also! it's a terrible disease. So the lump on your neck is probably a swollen lymphnode, if it moves around.

Hi!

I was struggling with sinus infections from May 2007 unfortunately it can with a hernia that needs to be repaired and I have had dry scalp with pimples and lumps and stiff neck and shoulder pain, dizziness, vertigo and i needed to take a relaxant and consistantly rinse out my nose and gargle my mouth to clear teh mucus out. On this Monday I am going for teh Laparascopic hernia repair - I am praying this will take away all the symptoms i am experiencing.

When I first presented with Lyme disease it was with headaches and stiff and painful neck and shoulders with swollen glands - the lump you are feeling sounds like a swollen gland. I also had a sore throat with Lyme. Given the time of year (since it is not flu season yet), I would rule out Lyme by having a test done.
