MNN with conduction block

Hi,
my question is about my sister, 39 years old.
8 years ago she started muscle weakness in her both upper limbs, symetric, although the weakness of one of her arms grew more quickly. No sensitive affected. No other parts of her body affected. Doctors were not able to tell us more than a rare disorder...(EMG, RM, etc. were done)
For six years the illness have been stopped but several months ago the other arm started to be weaker in the same way the opposite limb was years ago. Doctors told us that she has Motor neurona neuropathy with conductions blocks but after IVG treatment nothing has improved.
¿is there any efficient treatment in addition of IVG for this disorder?
¿does anybody any experience similar than this case?

She was given five sessions, one per month. As you told me, next september we´re going to another medical centre in order to get a second opinion.

How many IVIG treatments did she have?  Was she given a loading dose, which is 2 gm./kg.?  I think that is important as the IVIG may take some time to work and one session is not enough.  If she wasn't on enough in the beginning, it may not help either.  I assume her EMG and NCS showed the MNN?  I am not sure, and remember that we are not physicians on this board, but possibly high dose steriods might help.  Also I think I remember reading that plasmapheresis may be used for MNN.  The bottom line is that she needs to ask her doctor what they recommend, and maybe go for a second opinion.
