MRI Test

If you feel you have a brain tumor and have already had a negative test (MRI) within the year, how long should you wait before you have another test done?  How fast can a tumor grow and what is the difference between a test with contrast and without contrast?

I dont know much about contrast and non contrast but I think it would have shown it if u had a brain tumor. obviously im not an expert, Im just a patient, but it'd be too risky for them to miss something like that. Have you had your ears checked? the symptoms you describe maybe because of some ear infection affecting balance. I know too well what it feels like to be afraid you have an illness that you dont have. I have learnt to put a bit of trust in the medical proffession and think, if I really had something wrong with me I would know about it. Take care.

My symptoms are ringing in ears, pain in ears, and dizziness.  I also sometimes have a headache in my forehead.  My MRI was performed 8 months ago without contrast though so I didn't know if that made a difference.  Before that I had a CT scan done 2 years ago and that was clear also.

If the MRI said you dont have a brain tumor, the chances are you dont. the reason I feel able to say this is because I have a brain tumor (a benign one which doesnt cause much harm) and its tiny. I saw it on the images and I thought how could they even notice it. If they didnt notice a tumor i think theyd get in so much trouble so they must examine the scans so carefully. i hope you dont mind me posting. I just know how easy it is to get worried about things. what are ur symproms if u dont mind me asking?
