I have had meds and exercise now i have trouble getting up and walking i hope they can do more than just the same.
Yes. This is the reason for your pain. Your nerves are being pinched because the cartilidge between your lumbar vertebra has deteriorated. When you get your appointment with your primary care physician, ask for a referral to the VA physical rehab unit. They have an excellent program that will teach you exercises to diminish the pain, separate the vertebra, increase muscle tone and relieve pressure on the nerves. They will provide you with a TENS device for pain, and transdermal lidocaine patches. The lidocaine patches are not in the VA system so there will be a small review before they are approved. Meanwhile sleep with a pillow between your legs and avoid lifting and riding in vehicles that cause up-and-down bumping.
