MRI results ?

The VA sent my MRI results but will be two months until my appointment so don't understand the findings please help as the pain is bad in my legs and back...L5-S1 bilateral L5 pars defects are observed. There is severe loss of the intervertebral disc space. Grade 1 anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 is observed with mild uncovering of the intervertebral disc posteriorly . Disc osteophyte complexes and facet arthropathy contributes to moderate bilateral neuroforaminal stenosis.  Also L1-2: a mild concentric disc bulge without significant canal stenosis.  It also in notes says some arthritis in the lower back which may irritate the nerves coming out of the spine.    
I hope someone can tell me what all that means and is it the most likely reason for my pain.  Thank you

I have had meds and exercise now i have trouble getting up and walking i hope they can do more than just the same.

Yes. This is the reason for your pain. Your nerves are being pinched because the cartilidge between your lumbar vertebra has deteriorated. When you get your appointment with your primary care physician, ask for a referral to the VA physical rehab unit. They have an excellent program that will teach you exercises to diminish the pain, separate the vertebra, increase muscle tone and relieve pressure on the nerves. They will provide you with a TENS device for pain, and transdermal lidocaine patches. The lidocaine patches are not in the VA system so there will be a small review before they are approved. Meanwhile sleep with a pillow between your legs and avoid lifting and riding in vehicles that cause up-and-down bumping.
