My tongue was a veritable bag of worms this morning, and I though I had, had a good nights sleep and all, so I took myself off to emergency again.
After the last two drs, at last one has said that it is highly unlikely to be ALS. The Dr checked my face muscles, because I was worried about weakness, and said that they were normal, and the hollow cheek on one side could be expected from not having many teeth in that side. She said my tongue, apart from the twitching looked normal.
She also checked my toes, the ones that feel weak and said they were normal too, so it is just feeling they have lost and not strength. Goes to show that you can't really judge for yourself when you get into a panic as you see what you are looking for, so far as weakness is concerned.
Unfortunately she said she had no idea what could be causing my tongue to twitch, and that I would still have to wait for the neurologist to send me for any tests.
I wish I knew what was causing my tongue to twitch, it was so bad this morning, I could not even whistle a straight note without a tongue induced tremolo.
