Hello.
Sorry to hear about the incidence.
Yes, it is possible to have a clear MRI when one has a small Transient ischemic attack. A TIA typically lasts for one day. And there are not residues.
The benign mass can produce pressure effects (which it is producing already). One has to respect the MRI findings and the right of each person to know his own MRI report completely.
Since there is only a drop foot and no sensory problems, there is a specific area in the brain which is getting compressed.
You will do well to get a second opinion.
Regards
Sorry Sassy, I meant are you seeing docs in either louisville or lexington.
Hi. I also live in Ky and think u need new doc ASAP. I have had a bad experience in the past and to be honest, as long as it is your mom's body and health are at risk, she akes the rules. Fire the neuro guy, who the hell does he think he is?
If u don't mind, are u seeing ics in Louisville or Lexington?
Reading over my previous comment, I should have said June 2007 instead of 2000. Also, her dropfoot is not painful and she has not lost sensory perception on that foot.
Also, I guess I should have added that her speech has become labored over the past couple of months. My father thought she had had a light stroke back in June 2000. the neurologist said the MRI showed nothing. (Remember, he didn't think it necessary to tell her about the benign mass in her ventrical until seven months later. Can a person have some degree of stroke without it showing up on an MRI?
