You probably have a benign problem that goes by several names: cramp-fasciculation syndrome, benign fasciculation syndrome and others. It is a type of usually nonprogressive autoimmune problem where the voltage-gated potassium channel in muscle is targeted. You can have EMG's done to be sure it's not ALS, but it doesn't sound like it. There is no particular treatment. It's a nuisance, but that's all. A few people have thymomas so a chest CT to rule that out might be in order.
Thank you but Ive been taking magnesium and potassium also and no change .. When I look around its the ALS stuff that worries me
Jason,
I think your symptoms could be reduced by taking magnesium.
