My hip feels like it's popping out to where I limp.

I'm 14 and this has happened for 2 years. I've been in cheer leading. It's popped and cracks softly but recently it's been "POP" whenever I get up from my seat when I switch classes or just get up. When this happens I can't walk without it hurting so I limp. Now I even get really sharp pains throughout the bottom of my back and my hips and thighs. People say it's not normal for it to be doing that. Should I be concerned? I really need to know if it's serious.

You may benefit from seeing a chiropractor or an orthopedic Dr. Get checked for scolisis and uneven hip points. If your pelvis has become "twisted" during some of your cheering, a chiropractor may be able to realign things -and he'd be good at determining if you have mild scoliosis that is messing you up. Also, check your shoes and if you stand evenly. if you have one shoe bottom that is thicker than the other (even 1/8" makes a difference) or one leg that is a bit longer, this can cause hip pain also...Good luck! ~MM

Okay, so it feels like a sharp pain now. I'm talking to my parents about it but now I feel this puffy ball in both. Is that normal? lol I'm not sure or not. My Mom said that since I'm really flexible that it may be bugging my joints, since I can stick my legs behind my head and do the splits. I'm not sure whats going on. Thinking about seeing a Dr. Hope it's nothing bad. Is the puffy ball thing I'm feeling just a part of my lymph nodes? Never really noticed it b4 so I'm just confused about things. Thanks for all the info you guys. It's helping me out though:)

HI...b4 u see the chiro u may want to see a dr and be evaluated for Ehlers-Danlos...a condition that causes ur joints to hyper flex and pop in and out of joint...we do have a group here on it as well as a Health Page explaining some of the issues.

And if that is not an  issue, but all means do try a chiro.

Good Luck
