Nasal Discharge

I've had a cold with the obv. symptoms of runny noses and blocked/congested nose etc.............but while i was in the kitchen i slightly bent over and suddenly a yellow fluid came out of my right nasal passage.....it had the consistency of water and it was uncontrollable and i can also feel something in the back of my throat which is probably that discharge. I blew my nose and only some mucus came out......i've no head injuries or anything serious that has happened over the past month............I've looked at other people with similar symptoms but they had other problems that may have led to them having the discharge........and i just have a common cold.......can you please help me? Thank you.....

It could be that the way you bent over just relieved the pressure on your sinuses allowing drainage. The yellow is I believe but don't quote me on this a sign of infection. Or it could be pollen. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start to have problems breathing or the discharge thickens, has odd odor or burns when it comes out. Best wishes, Sissie
