Neck Twitching

I have had a neck twitch since elementary school but my parents didn't think it was anything. I am 25 years old and I am in an extremely stressfull management position which may be contributing to this condition.  I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and I am prescribed Vyvanse.  I also am prescribed Alprazolam to help with my twitch, it helps a little but it is still unbarable.  I have spent thousands of dollars in the last year & half on doctors, nuerologists, psychologist, counslers, and different types of chiropractors but nothing seems to work.  I call it the "cancor soar theory", it's annoying, distractive, uncomfortable, and painful, but i cant stop playing with it.  I can control it if I constantly focus on it, but thinking about it all day just causes me more stress, I am truly at a breaking point. I just want it to stop. can you PLEASE HELP ME!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,.
You are absolutely right in thinking that your physical and mental stress is causing the muscle twitch. It is very important that you keep yourself relaxed even in stressful condition. Please take adequate rest and practice relaxation techniques. Take multivitamin, multimineral supplements and lots of fruits and vegetables. Take lot of electrolytes since an electrolyte imbalance aggravates the twitch. The most important factor is stress relief . Medication will be effective only when you make these lifestyle changes. Please consult a physician for a change in medication or dose. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
