No idea what I have

I have some strange symptoms and can't seem to figure out the cause.  I have had and MRI and blood work done, everything came back "normal".  Here are my symptoms:  Tingles/ pins and needles- sporadically on the left side of  my brain,  left thumb, left arm, and bottom of my left foot.  One time my entire left side tingled (including my face)- for about 30 seconds.  One morning I woke up with such extreme vertigo I was unable to walk for a few hours.  All of my symptoms happen at different moments, and I cannot connect them to any activity/diet/or stress.  I do suffer from migraines, but do not experience these symptoms during one of those.  My symptoms seem to be getting more frequent.  And as I am typing this my left thumb is having its own little dance party.  Any suggestions on what I should do next?

Hi,

There are a couple of possibilities that need to be looked into. Peripheral neuropathy is one of them which can occur due to B 12 deficiency, metabolic disorder like thyroid dysfunction or due to diabetes.
These symptoms could also be a feature of migraines. Migraines can occur with or without headaches. The possibility of neurological lesions also needs to be looked into.
A neurological exam is warranted in your case. Please get it done at your earliest.

Thanks

Sounds like my "post-stroke" symptoms minus the extreme vertigo. I was told it's my body trying to recover and it's "not life threatening and nothing to worry about."  I'm on Gabapentin which is SUPPOSED to help.  Ask your neurologist about it.  Good luck!
