Numbness and Tingling/Vibration - Arms, Legs, Hands, Feet

I contracted influenza in February and was on tamiflu and then contracted bronchitis.  During my recovery I developed numbness and tingling/vibration in my arms, legs,  hands and feet.  It continues today with some days worse then others.  It isnt always bilateral but as I write it is affecting all limbs.

I have been to 3 neurologists, most recently at Cleveland Clinic.  I have had EMG, Nerve Conduction, MRI of brain, MRI of cervical/thoracic, every imaginable blood test, tilt table, Median Nerve Somatosensory, and Posterior Nerve Somatosensory.  ON Thursday I am having a follow-up MRI cervical as I was diagnosed with Syrinx at t6-9.  I do not have symptoms and the doctors say my problems are not related to this.  I am also doing a QSART and Skin Never Biopsy.

All of my tests have been negative, which is good.  However, it doesn't explain my problems.  There are times when it goes a way for a week or so, but comes back.  There are days that it is very disruptive but most days it is not a problem.  I  have the problems generally when sitting or lying down.  I get a burning feeling in buttocks and back which seems to exacerbate the problem.

It would seem logical that it is somehow related to getting the flu but no one can find anything.  Also of note, I have GERD which bothers me every so often.  I am not on any meds for this.  I also had a PVT last year and was on heparain for 6 months.  All is good there and all say not related.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this and if anyone has any suggestions for me.  Thanks/

I don't believe I have been tested for these but will talk with my doctor.  Also, of note, my MRI came back the same as my one 7 months ago, showing syrinx at t7-9 at 2mm.  No change and no lesions or other issues.

Thanks

Jim

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. I wonder if you have been tested for autoimmune diseases like lupus, Sjogren’s and scleroderma. If all tests are normal then the symptoms could be due to a bad anxiety disorder and anti-anxiety medications should help.
Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
