post sinus surgery vison problems

Immediately following minor sinus surgery I complained of vision difficulty in my left eye, specifically tracking problems from side to side.  I am now experiencing eye dryness and spasms in both eyes and a feeling of pressure above both eyes and in my face.  A neuro opthamologist thinks that it's just due to scarring because he can't see anything on my CT scan but can see that my tracking and gate are off, but the symptoms are getting worse.  The tracking problems leave me feeling dizzy and now I'm fearing for my vision since new symptoms appear at random and I'm still having trouble focusing.
I know it's not just scarring.  Any ideas? I'm terrified. Oh yes, I'm a 40 year old female and my surgery was just 3 months ago.

I suspect that the problem is more related to an ophthalmological (or local eye) problem than a neurological one, so I'm not sure if I can help

The nerve supply to the eye muscles that controls movements of the eyes comes from behind the eye and is not close to the sinuses. However, the tear ducts are close to the sinuses and could result in dry eyes. That could potentially in itself cause discomfort of gaze and reflex eye muscle spasm. I'm not an ophthalmologist though so cannot be sure. The eyes are so closely connected with the balance and vesitibular system that any difficulty with eye movement could cause dizziness or a sense of dysequikibrium.

Good luck

My sinus surgery was about 3 years ago and the sinus pressure continues to affect my vision (and yes, I'm over 40 as well).  My opthamologist cannot see anything wrong from the outside, and I'm afraid an MRI will indicate nothing visible as well.  I feel like I'm going crazy not being able to focus; something obviously is going on.  I'm trying to get a referral to a neurological opthamologist - any recommendations?
