Ok I dont even know where to begin!

When is a headache not a headache? When you have had what I have every day for 18 months!
Ok I am a music teacher - sit at a piano 20 hours a week and teach singers. I play badly. After a very taxing few weeks work wise Feb 2006 i woke one morning to a cluster of nasties that have responded to nothing so far.

Feeling of a tight band and pressure in and around my head, sense of being off balance, ear fullness, very tired sore neck.Feeling of acute weariness due to symptoms. Goes away when i lie down(good) starts the minute i rise in the morning. Is definitely made worse by stress of all sorts- be it physical doing my  shopping or a walk in the park or emotional stress. What this is not.
A/Not generally painful though can border on it.
b/My coordination is still excellent.
c/I dont actually fall over but do feel "drunk"- I think.

Have been checked out - nothing found. Symptoms don't vary except in intensity. After much research i believe this is a type of Chronic tension headache but please--- I need to get rid of it it is driving me batty and I want to feel well again. Ps i am 52 years old and an optimist!can you point me in the right direction please.

Hi,
Also please get your blood pressure checked to rule out hypertension just to be on the safe side.

Hi,
Yes it sounds like chronic tension headache and also i feel it is related to your sore neck due to posture problems. I suggest you to do some neck exercises regularly. A neck massage would also help. I would also suggest you to cut down on the piano lessons for some time till you recover. Meanwhile you can take OTC painkillers for headache. Hope it was helpful!

It sounds like you have vertigo.  My husband was just recently diagnosed with this.  There is prescription medication and exercises that can help!  Contact an ear/nose/throat specialist.  Good luck!!!!
