Sharp Pains in head, back, and joints

Hi doctor i hope you can help me!!.
Hi doctor.
Im a female aged 17.  about three years ago i started to suffer from joint pains, i am in constant pain with them.  Sometime i am just sitting down and when i go to stand up my back gets a weak pain at the bottom, my hip always feels like it comes out of place all the time and my wrists are the same, i get terrible pain in my hips if i stand up for a short time, and recently i have started to get sharp shooting pains in my head, i complained to my doctor about this and he sent me to the hostpital for tests but it didnt show anything, he gave me some tablets which are antidepressents (they are called Amitriptyline 10mg) but he didnt tell me why even though i asked him.  I am still in sever pain, but when i go and see him he says all i can give is paracetamol as i have asthma, which does not help me at all, so i started to take FEMINAX which is for mestrual pain which are brilliant but very expensive.
I just want to know why i get these pains, i hope you can help me??.

Dear Leanne:

I am sorry to hear about your pain.  It is difficult to tell you over the internet what might be causing your symptoms, as I have not seen the workup nor done the physical exam.  I am sure your symptoms are real.  Joint pain may be the result of many different things, such as collagen vascular disease, arthritis, degenerative bone disease, etc.  My suggestion is to see a neurologist, get a second opinion about what might be the etiology of your problem.  Your very young and to be started on pain medications at this point in your life is the last thing you want to get started on.

Sorry, that I am not too helpful.
