Pituitary Gland Adenoma

I've just been diagnosed with an Adenoma of the Pituitary Gland, what is the normal waiting period form initial finding of the Adenoma and the actual start of treatment?  I have been scheduled for a second MRI three(3) months from now and it seems to be long? or is that the norm?

IT was done almost two weeks ago.  Went home the next day.  Transnasal!  Stuffy nose, but not as bad as you might expect.  Very scarey stuff going to neurosurgery.  It was a Rathkes Cleft Cyst.  What is your status?  It takes some time to get it all sorted out.  Thanks so much for the thoughts. If you have any questions, please ask.  I'll be checking the board for your questions.  Buff

How are you doing? Did you have the surgery yet?  If so how did it go and how are you feeling?   My thoughts are with you.

What did your initial MRI report say about the size and the general impression of the possible pituitary mass?  Also have you had testing by an Endo specialist and a NeuroOpthalmologist?  Seen a Neurosurgeon yet?  Those are all important pieces to deciding whether to monitor with MRI scans, treat with meds (which only is a option with a very specific adenoma, or go right to surgery.  Wish you luck.  I have just been thru all of this from initial MRI three months ago to Transnasal surgery.  What a surreal experience.
