I had a TIA 48 hours ago. When into my Doc yesterday with the same lightheaded and tingling on my right side. They did do a CT and said all is well, blood work so far all is fine, not sure what the cause. Not sure if I am just hanging on the edge of having an other one. I am 56, run four miles a day, not over weight, don't smoke. Oh I feel shaky and weak also.
They "think" I had a TIA 4 weeks ago and am still having similar symptoms as if I'm having another one. I too get lightheaded and get tingling on one side of my body pretty much on a daily basis.
Since it was pretty 'grey' as to if I had one, they released me from the hospital as I was experiencing tingling in my face and heaviness in my arm...kinda weird huH?
Hello,
I had a tia a week ago im also fit and active and 34yrs old and im am also experiencing lightheadedness during the day and tingling down my arm and leg, I have a hospital appointment but its not for 5 weeks. Should I go back to my doctor and ask for an MRI sooner.
How are you now?
Thanks
Hello.
It is true that the TIAs do not have lasting effects. A TIA, by definition, disappears within 24 hours. However, it could be the root cause which caused the TIA. And this may be producing the symptoms now. THE MRI should be able to make things clear.
