She needs to go to the hospital. Those are symptomsof a typical TIA, or transient ischemic attack. Sometimesaperson has a single episode or two and then never again a problem. At other times these are "yellow flags" for a stroke that will leave a person paralyzed, blind or worse. She does need to go to a stroke specialty center immediately. If she goesto an ER, don't let them blow you off. And she does not need" an appointment next week" she needs to be seen as of yesterday. So to reiterate: Probably it isn't serious, but you cannot afford to take the chance. Don't take her to "her doctor". She needs a stroke specialty center or an immediate neurological work-up at a teaching hospital.

Definitely check her blood pressure.  My father had what they call TIA's and they are the  peruser to a possible serious stroke.  Please get her to a doctor.

I would definitely get a cat scan of her head to see if she might have suffered a mini-stroke.  My mother just had a significant stroke and the scan showed that she had a previous stroke that we didn't even know about.
