Hello, I am a 29 y/old male
(You may have seen this posted in the main forum 1yr ago)
1 yr ago I was diagnosed with lower back problems (slight stenosis, and right facet joint arthritis). Was given two spinal injections (lumbar/right facet joint). Upon resting at home, I noticed muscle twitching in my right calf muscle. I thought it was nothing at first but it then progressed over my entire body in a 2 wk span. To make a long story short... I had a nervous breakdown followed by deep depression. I thought I had a horrible disease. I have seen 4 Neurologists (two of which at Universty of Penn ) and my primary doctor and all have told me that I suffer from anxiety and to see a psycologist.
It has been a yr since that original post and the twitching has slowed a bit in freq. but it has not let up! I got on with my life but my calf's twitch 24/7 especially right. Recently, about a month ago I noticed some pain in my right toes but only when I move them not when I touch them. Its like an ache pain, last night while working out I also noticed that my arm muscles are burning (as if I just did 200 pushups). I have been failing pretty quickly suring my 2cnd and 3rd sets of exercises. Is this weakness? Should I be concerned about the toe pain? I have tried to get on with my life but this cr*p keeps pulling me back down! By the way I have not had an EMG and was told I didnt need it. I am scared again and am wondering if the dx's of Benign Fasiculation Syndrome is correct. One more thing, since all this started I have digestion/stomach issues loose bowels, gurgling noises, diahrea.
