check with doctor and make sure he x-ray to see if any other thing is causing it
Dear Krissumer, welcome to the medhelp forum. These strange sensations are most probably due to the nerve injury at the wrist sustained from the cut. The nerves, which cross the wrist, are median and ulnar nerve. Restoration of function is complete with 1st and 2nd degree nerve injuries which is neuropraxia and axonotmesis. Regeneration during neurontomesis or more severe nerve injury is usually compromised and more so the sensory recovery. It can be attributed to multiple factors like an axon from one type of receptor making connections with a different type of receptor, also known as cross reinnervation or failure of the sensory axons to reach the skin. This could be the reason for the sensation in the wrist. Hope this helps. You are welcome with any further queries. Take care.
