Shunt removal

What are the option opened to one when the VP shunt is overdraining i.e should it be removed or tied-off?

Much appreciated!!

How has she been? How long ago did they close off the valve and is she taking any meds to decrease the CSF or do they think she is in remission? I am so glad everything worked out for her, for all of you!

My daughter had her VP shunt left in place and the valve closed off.  Good luck.
