Side effects performing CT Scan and MRI

As doctors advise on taking CT Scan and MRI repeatedly for a children of 6 years old during diagonosis process, would there be any side effects to a child undergoing such exposures?

Hi,

How are you?
CT scan is like X rays. So multiple CT scans means multiple exposure to radiation and the consequent hazards.
Not all CT scans are necessary.
On the other hand MRI uses magnetic filed to visualize the internal organs. This is not radiation so it is much safer than a CT scan.
