Siezure/TIA

Age 79. 3-4 times AFTER awakening in AM I do not rember the events of last 12-24 hours. Comes back after some time.
MD said I Might have TIA's. Put on Warfarin. Weekly blood samples show all in range. Neurologist felt I was having a siezure. Took me OFF warfarin and said take 1 coated large asprin. Had another 3 days ago. Was at sports bar with kids. Had peanuts, pizza, and a beer. All wiped out next day but now I recall 75% of the nite. Will call Doc tomorrow when office opens.

Hi.

A transient ischemic attack, as well as the presence of seizures, cannot be ascertained at this point, although the clinical presentation does seem to suggest a TIA as more likely.

It would be advisable to have your condition assessed further by performing procedures/tests to ascertain or rule out either of the differential diagnosis. Possible tests that can be done include an MRI to assess the TIA, and EEG for assessment of seizure disorder.

Hope this helps.
