Skin burning.. I am confused as to what it might be

Hi my name is lazena,

iam posting this question on behalf of my boyfriend, and because i am really confused as to what might be wrong with him. So whenever he is working out or if it gets really hot he get little tiny red dots all over his body and has to stop what he is doing because he feels like his skin is on fire and it really burns. He describes it as being a pins and needles feeling and it really burns. he does have extremely sensitive skin, and on known allergy problems. he does eat a balanced proper diet. he has recently gone to the doctors and the doctor said he has jaundice, he does have low b12 as well. He doesn't sweat very often either, its weird because the problem doesn't happen when he goes back to india. He has been to many docs and they cant find anything wrong with him. We do have a dermatologist appointment on tuesday and i was hoping maybe someone on here would have an idea of what might be wrong with him. I was thinking it might be some sort of heat rash but the bumps/ rash is nothing like a heat rash.
any help would be greatly appreciated. :D thankss

Thanks for using the forum. I am happy to address your questions, and my answer will be based on the information you provided here. Please make sure you recognize that this forum is for educational purposes only, and it does not substitute for a formal office visit with a doctor.

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

It is odd though that he only has the problem here and not in India. From a neurological perspective, your boyfriend may have a disorder of the autonomic nervous system (i.e., the small nerves that innervate the sweat glands, etc). I agree that a dermatologist would be the most appropriate physician for him, and I would suggest that the dermatologist perform a punch biopsy to assess the nerves in the skin if they feel it may be neurological.

Thank you for this opportunity to answer your questions, I hope you find the information I have provided useful, good luck.
