Hello all. I am a 27 year old female. I am 5'6 and 140 lbs. I noticed the other morning that I could see my temporal pulse in the mirror when I was putting on makeup. It is not super noticeable but I just happened to be looking at my forehead. I then touched it and it feels raised up. One little part of it looks raised up from looking at it. Probably only the size of a pencil eraser. I do have a bad tension headache from a knot in my neck/ shoulder. I have felt this before and last year I had temporal artretis ruled out. All my blood work came back excellent. I am not worried about that. I do grind my teeth a lot at night and I think that also causes the tension headaches. When I touch the artery on the other side I can see it pulse as well. It seems that it is close to the surface on both sides. I think all of my arteries are close to the skin. My abdominal aorta is close as I can see that pulse and I can see a pulse between my collar bones and on my neck. Always have been that way. I don't know if my temples have always visibly pulsed or not. I do have anxiety so I am worried something is wrong. I don't have a history of high blood pressure, only when anxious. Can the artery be close to the skin on the forehead? Could it be more pronounced because I have been grinding my teeth and I have a headache?
Thank you in advance for your help! :)
