Good Morning.
I am a 64 old woman with a long history of Fibromyalgia and Myofascal pain syndrome. I recently had a cervical and thorastic MRi done.
Findings:
*Straightening of the lordic curve
*disc desiccation and degeneration c5-6, c-6-7, c4-5 and c7-t1
*facet hyperthrophy c3-4, c4-5 with left formaninal narrowing and bulging
*c5-6 endplate spurring causing ventral impression upom the anterior portion of the cfs but not on the cord.
*same noted at c6-7
*c7-t-1 bulging disc with neural forminal narrowing.
Thrastic spine shows mild bulging at arhtritis.
About 8 weeks ago, I started getting tingling that seems to originate from the upper part of the collar bone where it meets the shoulder, spreads across the shoulder into the neck and face. I get a lot of muscle tightening and pain in these areas. including the collar bone and very sore areas on my upper chest.
My Dr. has put me into Pt, saying I have nerve compression. the therapist I have is doing gentle massage, myofascal release, heat and ultra sound, but says I have TOS. along with the FM and MPS.
I have done a lot of reading on TOS and have found nothing about neck or facial tingling only arm and hand. I have got the arm and hand occasional and the pt does seem to be helping the tngling.
What are your thought about this mess.other than I have an old neck.
Thank you, Linda
