Tingly sensations...

About a week ago I've noticed that my right hand and arm would start to go numb (tingly sensation).  Now it's in both arms/hands and legs/feet, sometimes associated with pain or a burst (like a tiny firework) went off in my arm or leg.  The sensation in my right arm and hand will not go away and seems to get stronger everyday.  Does anyone have an idea of what can cause this or make it go away?  It's driving me insane and I'm not getting much sleep.  Thank you in advance~  H

I had hypothyroidism about 8 years ago.  It was treated once with radioiodine. (I believe that is what it was called)  I only had the pill treatment.  I wouldn't have thought about calcium.  Thanks Linda!  :)

Having low calcium due to a problem with your para-thyroid glands will cause the sensations you are describing. I had my thyroid removed & 3 of my para-thyroid glands. If my calcium gets low I get tingles( like body part is asleep) and cramps. If you get a regular blood test it will show your calcium levels and if there is a problem there is a more indepth test that can be done.

Thank you for your quick response.  I'm 33, soon to be 34.  Gotta say that I was hoping for maybe a pinched nerve.  I greatly appreciate your comment.  Have a beautiful day.
Best regards.  :)

Hello Dear,
What is your age?You should see a neurologist to rule out degenerative changes of spine as your symptoms correspond to it.You should go in for an x-ray  and MRI to see if  any pathology exists..You can also consult a physical therapist for pain management.Neck and back exercises will help you.You can take vitaminB supplements.
