Debb, You need to be posting your questions to the MD's...not as a comment to my medical problems...the doctors won't answer you that way! Best time to post your questions is mid morning, I got mine in 10ish mountain time.
Good luck!
Flo
Sorry forgot to mention that I had a problem giving birth 16 years ago and that my right leg went numb and now still has pain in it,and my left leg and foot are spongy, x-ray of spine revealed compression of nerves, could this be why my legs are spongy, and why Im having balance problems dizzyness, and the rapid eye movement in my right eye, also have a tight neck, I cant get to see a neurologist for 2 more months, meanwhile I just twitch away, but I am extremely distressed is there anyone else I should be seeing ?
Hi ya, I have symptoms that I dont understand, they include dizzyness, feeling of falling at times, nystugmus, weakness of legs and slight clumsiness of my left arm, twitching ringing in my ears and fluctuations...I had the eye symtom 7 years ago and saw a Neuro but he dismissed it as nothing and sent me home, my symptoms have been staying with me longer about 3 weeks now and I am extremely worried, my local MD sent me for a CT looking for an acoustic neuroma which came back negative, yet I am still distressed..any help you can offer me would be much appreciated.
Thankyou
Debbs
Please e-mail me. We seem to have alot of the same symptoms. Maybe we can help each other out. ***@****
No, I have not been tested for Lyme Disease, but will certainly look into it. Cyst in brain, location in laymen terms: mid section towards the left...official terms, lengthy & only a MD would be able to understand! They plan on leaving it alone and rechecking it in 6-12 months.
Thanks for you suggestion on Lyme.
Flo
I've had best success at posting between 9 - 10 am EST. Good luck
WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO FOR THE 7MM CYST THE FOUND ON THE MRI. WHAT AREA OF THE BRAIN? I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK AT THE WWW.LYMENET.COM, AND GO INTO THE MEDICAL QUESTIONS.
I TRIED TO POST AT 5 pm 9pm 11 pm 12 midnite 2 am 9 am 10 am 12 noon! When do the daily questions for neuro MD start? WHAT TIME?
HAVE YOU BEEN TESTED FOR LYME DISEASE? I WOULD CERTAINLY LOOK INTO THAT. YOU HAVE A LOT OF THE SYMPTOMS.
1.Routine blood tests looking for electrolyte abnormalities and blood count as well as possible autoimmune panel to check for diseases such as lupus. Of course, everything needs to be taken into clinical context and random tests shouldn't be ordered just because we can. But these may be helpful to workup your symptoms.
2.No. Sudden severe headache (worst of your life) is concerning for aneurysm and stroke usually associated with serious neurological deficits such as sudden weakness of one side of the body or loss of vision in one eye. Could be atypical migraine.
3.Unlikely.
4.Not necessarily, unless you have something objective on your exam to suggest disc disease that is causing neurological compromise.
5.Unlikely to be ALS if your prior or new EMG was normal when you are actively having symptoms. Glad everything has been normal so far which should be somewhat reassuring that you do not have a serious neurological disease. Talk to your docs about a possible autoimmune panel and the possibility of atypical migraine. Good luck.
