Unending headache and pstosis of left eye. Is my shunt malfuntioning?

I have had a mild headache worse in the morning for a little over a week. Over the weekend the headache changed. Stiff pain in left side of neck, pstosis of left eye, nausea and fatique. Yesterday the headache changed to pressure in the top of my head. This is now day three of new developments and I do feel a little better but my head feels like someone has filled it with air and my right ear feels like someone is sticking thier finger in it.I do have a ventricular shunt put in 95 and have had (3)surgeries for anuerysms. I am very gun shy of doctors and afraid to jump. Any advice?

Pressure in one side of the head and peripheral signs on the other side ... I would have seen a neurologist as soon as possible.

I am not a doctor, but this sounds like 'something' is going in the right side of you head and time might be of essence in dealing with it.

good luck.

If the shunt is in the lower left back of the head you should be able to feel it. There is a push type valve on them to tell if they are filling and releasing. My sister had this type years ago, they may have changed so get to the doctor. DON"T TAKE A CHANCE!!!
