For the past 5 years, I have suffered from fibromyalgia, this being a diagnosis made after I was originally diagnosed with bi-lateral thoracic syndrome. It took 5 mos to diagnos the bi-lateral tos, however, pulse studies verifided that when I raised my arm, my median nerve pulse diminished. I had the right side decompressed in July of 2004, which was the most invasive surgeries, and from what I understand, one of the most difficult surgeries to recover from. After about a year of misery, one day, the post-op pain stopped and I thought finally, I was done. Unfortunatelly, a couple of weeks later, I was experiencing terrible pain eveywhere, mainly in my right and left arms. neck , upper trapezius and hands. Finally, I was sent to a doctor that did NCS right in his office, he also did some pain check points and was able to tell me that I had fibromyalgia, and the nerve responses in my right arm were extremely low, and from the ulnar nerve down, pretty much nonexistent. I had some surgeries to transpose my nerves in my arms to try to alleviate the pain. This has helped a little. Now I have been notified by my health department that I am possitive for a parasite named babeosis or babasea. My doctor has shown little concern about this, and even said that I may have chronic lymes disease. He does not seem too concerned to treat it, but I have heard from many people, that if that gets to your brain, there is nothing left to do. Should I d accept his non-immediate response to treatmtent or shoud I find a communimicable disease specialist. I am experiencing new problems along with this over the past few months, such as migraine/sinus mixed headaches, An inability to sleep well at night and a very difficult time waking in the morning. I will wake, only to fall asleep again, and mumbele a lot of jibberish, and be very disoriented. This happens again in the evening time, and my behavior has taken quite a hit to this problem. I am not sure what these are symptoms of, but they are actually times that I can fall asleep for the better part of the day, with no energy whatsoever. Just trying to determine if anyone else has simmilar symptoms or knows of someone who has, that could possibly shed some light on this. Thank you.
