Where should I go now??

Hi, I`ve posted in the past and have had some more tests done since, so I wanted to ask your opinion on where I should go from here. I started having numbness, tingling, mild intermittent eye pain in the right eye, fasiculations, and tendon tightness in the extremities 9 1/2 months ago, after my 1st baby was born. I seen a neurologist a month after it began. He performed a brain and c-spine MRI which were normal and a nerve conduction test and blood test which were normal, that was 7 mos. ago. I seen a 2nd neurologist after the first one. He did a heavy metal blood test which I think came back normal. He said he would call if anything came up w/ it, and he didn`t. He did a Somatosensory Evoked Potentials lowers test on me, which came back normal also. My symptoms are still w/ me, but slightly better. He said he wanted to monitor me for a while. What do you think I should do now? How would you diagnose me? Thanks....

I had a csection with no epidural. I was completly put under general anesethia.  I'm not sure what other meds were given to me while in the hospital.  I was on Celexa & Zoloff after some of the symptoms started for anxiety/stress. Symptoms got much worse after I started taking them. What part of the country do you live in? What hopsital did you deliver in?  I'm in Charlotte and delivered at CMC-Pineville.
You said that you spoke with a women who had the same symptoms and they eventually went away.  Tell me more about this.  Did she do anything in that two years- supplements, diet???

I have been having the same kind of symptoms you are describing and they all started after having my 1st baby back in August.  I had an epidural and the infection meds for the Group B strep and I also ended up with mastitis a couple weeks after having her (which I have read could be caused by the infection meds).  I get a tingling sensation in my upper right shoulder when I bend over, occasionally I get the pin ***** pains (though that definitely seems to be getting less and less as time goes on), limbs falling asleep easily, etc.  I also have been getting a lot of dizziness/lightheadedness (which actually started after having a cold back in December).  I have been back and forth to the doctors and they kept telling me that it was anxiety and stress (I have had so much going on since the birth of my daughter) and I could have had some extra fluid in my ears from the cold.  I did start recently going to a chiropractor to see if he could do anything for me and after about 1-1/2 months, I am starting to finally see an improvement in my symptoms.  I, too, have always wondered if the epidural caused all of this because I had always been healthy before the birth of my baby and ever since I had her, I have had all kinds of strange symptoms. It gets so frustrating because everytime I go to the doctor he looks at me like I am crazy and that I am imagining all these symptoms.

Also, did you take an epidural w/ your baby or any infections medicines? I had an epidural and had to be given infection meds through an I.V. do to Group B Strep. bacteria which I am a carrier of, for some unknown reason. You?? I often worrier the epidural or infection meds caused this....

Hi, our symptoms are almost just alike. My limbs fall asleep easily and I also have strange sensations all over. Yes, I do have new house carpet, but I think my symptoms started before it was installed. No we don`t use pesticides that often. I am really not sure if the symptoms are worse w/ food. But, I have stopped drinking caffeine, and I don`t seem to twitch near as bad now. I don`t know it that`s a coincidence or what...But I`m sure cutting back on caffeine helps, because caffeine makes your nerves conduct faster I think. I am an occasional social smoker (hardly ever smoke), and an occasional social drinker (hardly ever). I also don`t recall taking any meds when the symptoms started. You??

I'm 31,white, symptoms started within weeks of birth of 1st baby and moving into a new house.

Are you in a new house or is there new carpet in house?  Does your house get sprayed with pesticide? are you or were you on medication at the time symptoms started? Do your symptoms fluctuate with foods you eat?  Do you smoke? Do you drink alchohol?

Maybe we can find out a common link?
