I have constant buzzing in my head as well. Just had an MRI done and am experiencing a lot of anxiety as a result before the results come back. My buzzing is constant but have no other symptoms. My ENT said my hearing is fine, so what else can it be??? He seems to think that it just might be related to my Achilles Tendon Rupture 6 months ago. I had surgery and was in a wheel chair for 3 months unable to put any pressure on the foot or leg. Three days after I was allowed to begin walking, the buzzing began and has not stopped since! He believes it might be pressure and my blood rushing to my head??? Has this ever happened to anyone? I am so scared to find out that it may be something very serious. Please help...
I have been experience very similar symptoms for over a month now. I have seen a cardiologist and a neurologist at Barrows Neurological institute. They ran test and all the test came back normal. The neurologist called it a "neuro-chemical" problem. He said there are no test for neuro-chemical problems. He said that it may go away on its own or it may never go away. Bottom line is so far nobody knows. I have had other symptoms along with the ones you described in your post. It has been confirmed that it is not a heart attack or stroke. In fact my heart and arteries are very healthy so I have ruled out that for now. I did see a post where someone with the buzzing that said they took 1000mg of vitamin C and that helped. I have started with 500mg of vitamin C and have not seen any real improvement. The problem has been dabilitating at certain times. I would love to know if anyone with the buzzing has had other symptoms with it. Take care and God bless.
Many thanks for your comments, momentoman.
Vit B 12 was checked at the beginning of this and found to be OK. But not sure about pituitary function so we'll follow that up. The symptoms don't include limb weakness, or vision impairmant but we'll keep an eye out on that too.
Really appreciate your thoughts, thanks

The pituitary gland may be the answer given the hypothyroidism, This can easily checked by a simple blood test. The causes could be b12 vitamin or the lack of, electrolyte imbalance,
If all the bloods came back negative, I would certainly have it investigated further as they are a number of other more serious reasons for this. If your wife notices any changes in vision, sensation , weakness or limb movement i would visit my ER pronto.
Don't be alarmed but given the very brief outline i can offer anymore advice, best of luck to you both and i hope its something as simple lack b12
