I copied and pasted the link and it came up for me, give it another go, sometimes machines just get goofy once in a while. Let's see, type 1 and type 2 diabetic people have been shown to also have some level of deficiency in magnesium also, altho it's not in the article's link I gave you. Just more food for thought. See, if one particular element was the cause of all this stuff, they'd be dispensing it like hotcakes! But it's just kind of an absorption issue to my way of thinking, which that article took some time explaining. I should think anyone with any disease process is probably going to be low on various vits and minerals and amino acids and whatnot if for no other reason than they're stressed out from all the effort of dealing with disease. Sorry, again, I couldn't answer your question, tho, about the MRI and beta stuff, hope the doc will explain things well enough for you.
Hi,
I tried the address you gave me but it said that could not be displayed.
I will look up magnesium tho.
There is often so many things "wrong" w/ our kids and I feel like sometimes the medical community OFTEN overlooks the importance of minerals
What is interesting is "severe autism" and type 1 diabetes are not that common, but I know a few families that have children with both,I may be confused but I honestly think that autism can be a auto immune disorder.
My older son has type 1 diabetes and celiac as well, and I also have auto immune disorder.
Dear Caan,
Thank you for thinking I might need a research tool. I simply ran out of time yesterday and could not go back to look up the situation for you. Here is a website you must read concerning magnseium and absorption of minerals and so forth, that will affect most of your child's symptoms. Now, he may have been tested for everything, but I would ask them to run another one for his mineral counts.

Hi,
He has had a million blood tests, and nobody knows anything,it is really quite annoying :)
I was reading articles online and I found this site that is SUPER for research
it is mendely.com
Thank you for your reply
I don't know the answers to your specific questions, but I was doing some reading on another issue, and I came across the information that, some children with a number of health problems like your son has, need to have some bloodwork run, to look for nutritional deficiencies or overload... he may eat well, but could be his body simply does not process certain things exactly right. It seems to me magnesium was some sort of commonality with autism and additional health problems.
