back pain and sciatica

I was involved in a car accident back in May 2010 and have had low back pain and sciatica ever since. I had an MRI done in May that showed everything was normal... My spine hurts to touch and have pain all the way to my toes on the right side. I have tried many things and if anything it feels like it is getting worse. Sometimes when walking my foot goes numb and I will fall ect. I do not understand if everything is normal why does it hurt so bad? PLEASE HELP!

I was diagnosed with Sciatica about a month ago but in the last 2 weeks on the side which they say I have limited movement I've been experiencing what I can only describe as a sensation like being kicked in the lower back. Does anyone know if this is a symptom of Sciatica or should I go back to the doctors to be checked over....

i would guess that u do have some nerve damage or interfirence..
is the pain nerve pain -on the surface -or deep? does it spasm?
i have nerve damage to my left leg and also footdrop from an accident -i have no feeling in my foot at all -even when i tear off a toe nail...
i would suggest that u document it in detail and see your dr asap, he may /should refer u to a specialist..
i have a lot of sucess with gabbapentin for nerve pain -BUT this is for your dr to decide (and you) -not me..
all the best T.
