Why no one cares

I have been to 2 neurologist, 2 neuromuscular,1arthitist,1RA, and 1 hand surgeon. I am 50, and have only the signs of my age in my hands and back..I have had an emg, MRI cervical, MRI with Gad of Brain, and blood test...All Negative...
I ask the doctors who do I go to next, and never get an answer except, not them.....
I show them a video of what my arms and hands look like when the muscles start contracting...They all say you have a problem, but we don't know what to do for you...GREAT....You all go on with your lives, and I can't...NOW since May the next symptom is NO TASTE at all of foods, and I am a cook and a baker...Been doing that job for over 11 years, How can I do my job, when I can't taste any food....impossible....Bad enough my fingers swell and my upper arm muscles get so tight, it looks like the muscle is going to go through the skin, and if you touch me, when I am having an episode, the muscle gets even tighter. 2 weeks ago(10/1/09) My throat started to close up....I feel like I am going to choke myself to death....If I talk and have a conversation longer then 5 min., I start to gasp for air....Wonderful way to live a life.....But the Doctors, not one of them....gives a damn....not one of them has helped me in this past year...It started when I was working at Virtua Hospital, and within a month there, the cramping started and just kept getting worse...I left after 6 months, for if I didn't I don't know what condition I would be in right now...It's bad now....No one will help, no one will go further then the norm....I don't know where to go....
I want and need to make a living for I am a single parent...Where and who do I see to help....I don't know how much longer I can go on with the pain that I get...Please anyone

Are you currently on any regimen medications (psychiatric, cholesterol, muscle relaxers)? I'm sure you've had general blood chemistry workups. If you have that report, is your Zinc, Magnesium, and vitamin B12 levels within normal range? This does sound skeletomuscular/neuromuscular at first blush but don't give up! Keep forging ahead! You need a third opinion! Take console in the fact the cervical and brain MRI were clean. That is great news! A tumor would almost certainly be readily visible if it were causing these complications. The throat problem could lend itself to an upper respiratory disease which can share muscle stiffness symptoms. You could think about seeing an respiratory/pulmonary specialist and even an immunologist. Have you had a chest X-ray? Reason being that anyone working in a hospital is at risk for opportunistic infections. Keep your chin up! Stay in touch.
