i am awaiting the results of an mri brain scan and eeg.i have seizure like fits.more major muscle spasms that require 20mg of valium to stop and sometimes more administered in hospital.they last for upto 4 hours a day.it started 5 years ago when my legs started going numb and i found it hard to walk.then it spread to my arms and i find it hard to lift or brush my hair.then 8 months ago  i developed these seizure types and a burning itchy feeling all over my body.they thought it was pseudo fits at first until they had a video of it then said it wasnt..any ideas please i cant cope with it all any longer.thanks

Hi there.

I'm sorry to learn what you have been going through.  From what you have described you may really have a primary seizure disorder, and it is really possible that after all the tests, no obvious cause can be determined.  This may have to be treated with a combination of anti-seizure drugs.  These anti-seizure medications may also address the burning feeling (neuropathic in origin) and help minimize them.

If there are any one in the site with similar symptoms, I request that they share their experiences with our friend here.

Wishing you all the best.  Regards and God bless.
