i have protrusion in c6-7 and bulging in c6-7 will i have this pain forever

My MRI results were at c5-6  at left  paracentral small protrusion and uncinated spur produces severe left c6 foraminal narrowing and left c6 compression, mild degenerative annular bulging at c6-c7 results in mild left c7 foraminal narrowing c7-t1 demonstrates a small central protrusion which does not impinge the central spinal cord, at t1-t2 a left paracentral protrusion is noted which extends into the left lateral recess. I have done injections and change my way of life to try and ease the pain.  The pain is constant and causes severe head aches.  The surgeon operated and fixed my ulnar nerve thinking it would help the pain, it did not however it did relieve some tingling.  He now says there is nothing he can do for my neck pain except continue pain management.  Is this something that I will have to live with.  I received these injuries from getting rear ended.
