that I did not have hernia.....I had a terrible fall on my bottom down the stairs.....blount force abdominal trauma.  I also have a long list of back problems.    This condition has debilitated me beyond anything I've ever had and I've been very ill with Fibro and a lot of other things since I was 31.   I am now turning 60.   I had to do the study myself...take it to the DOC and convince him this was the problem.   It fits like a glove.

I'm like a little child waiting for christmas morning for the injections.

I came across this site by doing an inguinal search.    THERE IS HELP !

I have read, after much study, that steriod injections can rid one of this illioinguinal death defying pain instantly and forever.   I'm having the injections on Friday.   I pray it's true.

Having the nerve cut will only help temporarly, if at all. I have the same problem, on my 12th abdominal surgery, they messed it up. I was to the point of suicide from the pain. I had been living in the ER. I could no longer work, take care of my kids, nothing but suffer. I was finally sent to a pain center and put on morphine, antideppresants, lidoderm patches, neurontin. I had a life again. I sware I was saved that day. I struggle now, it has been so long, I have a tolerence to the medications. This past January it has been 12 years. They do not help as much anymore. I do need them adjusted, I am back in bed again suffering. It is hard with the DEA, and doctors that are ignorant to treating non cancer pain. Or they are afraid of the DEA also. The only thing I can suggest is get several opinions. Get a referal to a pain managment center. If you have insurance get some lidoderm patches, they really help. It is lidocaine and it numbs the area. Good luck to you!
