lip twitching, rebif symptom

I have recently started taking the 44 dose of Rebif, and in addition to various flu symptoms, have developed a minor but persistent twitch in my lower lip.  Could this be related to the medication?

Hi

I was was going through a difficult personal period and being bullied at work, went to sleep one night and woke up the next day with a twitch on my lip that has come and gone over the last 14 years, sometimes it is completely gone  for a few days and somethings it returns, it does hurt sometimes, I have been checked out by my doctor, who said it was stress induced.  Relaxation doing Yoga does help and offers relief.

Hope that helps you and many others

Hi Poco 115,

Upper lip twitch can occur due to stress, fatigue and anxiety and low potassium. Make sure to eat plenty of fruits like bananas, grapes, strawberries etc to supplement potassium.

Take care!

Hi,

Rebiff is not known to cause muscle or lip twitches. However MS is characterized by muscle twitches so this symptom could very likely be related to that.

Thanks
