Hi there. Have you tried calcium and magnesium, supplements yet?
All the time I was having these cramps, the worst ones, under the ball of my foot and thighs,I took a cal+mag supplement and the cramping stopped with in a week.
At the time I had told my dr and all my bloods came back fine. But, it still helps and stopped it.
It may be related to the PTC, or not, but the drs do not know everything..
Try your daughter on them, and give it a week or two, to see if she feels better. Hope it works! Cath.
Hi there. Muscle cramps can be very disturbing and can occur in many situations, like rest or nocturnal cramps, fatigue cramps, hyponatremia, hypocalcemia or tetany, hypomagnesemia, hypokalemia, contractures. Also inherited in MacArdle’s disease, protective reflex from injury, hypokalemia. Certain issues have been ruled out, get a fresh investigation done for the others. Considering her age group, muscular dystrophies also need contemplation. pseudo tumor cerebri is not associated with muscle cramps. Consult a child specialist or pediatrician for the needful. Take care.
