no appetite/weight loss/on feeding tube/can't stand or walk/in no pain

My friend's husband, who is in his late 70's has not been the same since he fell and broke his hip about 4 years ago.  After the surgery, which went well, he now had high blood pressure.  Today, he's been in the hospital for about 4 months, does not have any appetite, is on a feeding tube because he can't eat.  He went from 170 to 130 lbs and is almost six feet tall.  He has no pain, yet cannot stand or walk.  He has had 5 specialists and they have no idea what's wrong with him.  His memory and speech is in tact.  Can you help solve this dilemma?  Thank you!

Thank you so very much.  I know he's gone through a battery of tests, but I will let her know.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. Your friend’s husband could have sustained a stroke or cerebral embolism following deep venous thrombosis during the perioperative period. Also since hypertension was detected first time during this period. His lower limbs may be paralysed. Consult the neurologist who is looking after him and discuss the patient’s MRI brain if it has been done. End organ function needs to be preserved like kidneys, heart, lungs, liver etc. back care to prevent any pressure sores and further complications is strongly suggested. Hope this gives a clue.
