how do I know if they looked for o bands in the serum?
thats what I don't understand the report said 2 gamma bands in oglioclonal but it was normal levels in igg synthesis and spinal albumin was normal along with normal serum albumin, normal serum igg and normal protein levels.the report stated that this is unsupportive of ms but everything I reads says differently so if not ms what is it and do I have all the test?Is there anything else in serum to look for besides albumin, igg synthesis and protein?

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.
When evaluating oligoclonal bands in the CSF, you must also look at the oligoclonal bands (OCBs) in the serum (i.e,. part of the blood) to ensure that the OCBs in the CSF were not passively transferred from the serum. OCBs are markers of immunological processes such as multiple sclerosis. In your history, it would be important to compare the serum to the CSF given the encephalitis/infections.
If you have not done so, you should follow up with a neurologist to further evaluate.
Thank you for this opportunity to answer your questions, I hope you find the information I have provided useful, good luck.
