One of three things may be going on here. First, could be you have developed a little arthritis in the hip joint, which depending on your age, they will either offer physical therapy and medicine, or sometimes will replace the hip joint in surgery. Second, could be your lower back or even perhaps within the hip joint itself, a nerve has become trapped, through either inflammation and swelling, or some sort of damage or abnormality in the tissues near the back or hip.
Third, if perhaps you haven't been exercising or haven't been active lately, you may have just pulled a muscle or tendon or ligament in your hip This is the most likely scenario. Rest that leg for a few days, and take some aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicine to ease the pain. Then slowly begin a gentle stretching routine of all parts of the body (being VERY careful with that hip), and eventually start walking as exercise. Keep building up your strength and keep your activity levels up. And obviously, DO NOT move your leg to the side until you have gotten well into the walking phase of your physical fitness improvement.
thank you for the reply to my hip pain concern, so could this be part of the pinching sensation i get on my right toes since it is my left hip bone that gives me pain and you know what when i walk a long distance i feel more pain, so i should continue with the exercise
if one is suffocating, feeling dizzy and hot sweat all over her and after blood work it was confirmed her sugar level is 150 over 80, does it mean she is diabetic or what can she do to prevent this high sugar level the way she feels.
I think if you post in the diabetes forum here at this website, you'll get someone who knows about blood sugars. I don't know anything about it!
please my friend just notice a sore in her (virgina) wall that's her private part and its discomforting a little what will she use for the wound to heal as there was no boil or any hard object there as she explained.
I hope you rested that hip for a few days before you started walking, and you should have done stretching for a few days before beginning to wlak, and you should walk short distances before long ones. It's like starting over. Whenever you injure part of your body, you have to let it mend before you go and exercise more. Actually, I was thinking you may have injured it from not enough activity; but the same thing can happen if you do too much activity. In that respect, you should most definitely not walk as long as that hip hurts!
After resting and slowly regaining stretch in the body, and then doing some short walks, if your hip still hurts, then you may have done more than just pulled some muscles. That's when nerve problems, arthritis, and other issues may be at work here, and so you should visit your regular doc to see what he thinks.
