Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
Since your last scan was couple of years of ago it is important to repeat the scan since you symptoms are still present.
Please push for another scan. It is difficult to tell without examination as to how much of your symptoms are due to stress. It is true that stress can cause all these symptoms. A MRI scan is usually very accurate and it is very unlikely that it may have missed something. Since a long time has elapsed it is important to repeat it. Your symptoms could also be due to neuralgia, sinusitis or neck conditions like disc herniation and disc prolapse.

My first suggestion is to take a deep breath.  (That advice has been given to me on MANY occasions.  Stress absolutely aggrevates all medical conditions.  It may not be the cause, but it certainly makes them worse.)

Second, is there any reason you can't seek a second opinion from another doctor?  I had a neurologist do two MRIs and two CT scans and prescribe boatloads of migraine medication for what turned out to be nothing more than a sinus infection.

In the meantime, do what you can to reduce your stress.  Stress actually loads your body with chemicals that keep it from healing itself.  Deep breathing is really, really helpful, and it's simple.  Stretching while you do it makes it even more effective.  There are TONS of other things you can do, but start with breathing and stretching.  Also, find something that will make you laugh out loud.  When you're scared, and there's nothing to laugh about, FIND SOMETHING!  Look on youtube for talking dogs or crazy cats.  Laughter releases chemicals that really do help reduce pain and elevate mood.

Please know that a year ago, I would have laughed at the advice I'm giving you.  I had blind faith in my doctors that proved to be misplaced.  I have had far more success with natural cures than what my doctors have provided.

God be with you!
