Hi, for a while now i(about a year)  have noticed in photos that one of my eyes seems smaller with more eyelid on view.
It is now bothering me as it feels like i have excess skin on my left eyelid. I have looked it up and it says it could bte ptosis? but it hasnt been there always, is it something to worry about?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there.  Ptosis or drooping eyelid is caused by weakness of the muscle responsible for raising the eyelid, damage to the nerves controlling these muscles, or looseness of skin of upper lids. This is seen more frequently in diabetics, stroke, horner syndrome, myasthenia gravis, brain tumor etc . There may be drooping of eye lids, increased tearing, interference with vision. Physical examination and special tests for myasthenia gravis etc. treatment is of the underlying cause. Consult an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. Take care.

I am not sure if I understand right, not because of your wording but because I just don't always understand right........

If I get what you are saying, if you are older, or growing older, your skin will wrinkle up naturally. I am 30 and mine already has.....and I am going bald.......

I am sorry I am not much help, I would like you to know though that there will be people on here who care, support, and know a lot about different things. This so happens to be one I don't know much about. Please hang in there, welcome to the site, and please try to relax until you find out more information.
