right thigh numbness, itchy

I have upper right thigh numbness, burning sensation, and itch occasionallly.  No rashes present.  Seems to be more prevalent when lying on right side, sitting, bending.  Have noticed symptoms for 2-3 months.  I am a 56 yr. old female in good health.  Only meds. taken is Premarin @ .3mg dose 3x a wk.  I have lost 75# in the last 3 yrs. so weight is not an issue.  No back, neck, arm, or other areas have any health problems.  Could this be a pinched nerve issue and should I seek an opinion from a general physican or a specialist?  Or just hope this corrects itself?

Any bowel or bladder changes?  If there are go straight to your doctor, you could have compression of cauda equina nerves.  There's nothing to be lost in talking to your doctor, but if this is nerve compression, and you ignore it, the consequences will be irreversible.  Don't take that risk.
